Carol Johnstone is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and holds a Master of Arts in Interpersonal and Public Communication. She is the owner of a small business, Johnstone Consulting, LLC and has been a professional trainer for 20 years. She has taught as an adjunct faculty member at Lewis University, Elmhurst College, Harold Washington College and Morton College in the Chicago area.
Carol has trained Motivational Interviewing in the fields of business, health care, social services and education. She has much experience in coding MI conversations using the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity 3.1 (MITI), as well as giving telephonic feedback and coaching and has recently completed training on the MITI 4.0. Through her experience she is able to take proven concepts and apply them to a variety of performance issues.
She is currently providing MI training, consulting and coaching throughout the Midwest and in Puerto Rico.
